The Lead Teacher will plan and implement learning opportunities that further the children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical growth and development while acting as the primary resource for parents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities on a daily basis.
- Conduct daily health checks and ensure the environment is clean, safe, and free of hazards; be responsible for developing and implementing individualized activities based on the development level of each child.
- Create a learning environment in the classroom and outside for young children which promote experimentation and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents in promoting parental involvement in their child's early learning experience.
- Facilitate and assist children in developing positive relationships that support a caring community within the classroom.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and education.
- Ability to learn and follow curriculum and teach said curriculum to infants and toddlers.
- Ability to adopt varying teaching styles to ensure children are learning and retaining information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and including them in their child's learning process.
- One-year teaching experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Effectively use classroom management skills and techniques to keep infants and toddlers engaged.
- Pass a criminal and child abuse and neglect background check and drug screening.
- Ability to provide a recent physical & TB test.
Education Requirements:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certified or Degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field and minimum 3 years experience in teaching preschool curriculum.
