About the Job
The Lead Teacher will plan and implement learning opportunities that further the children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical growth and development while acting as the primary resource for parents.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities on a daily basis.
  • Conduct daily health checks and ensure the environment is clean, safe, and free of hazards; be responsible for developing and implementing individualized activities based on the development level of each child.
  • Create a learning environment in the classroom and outside for young children which promote experimentation and exploration.
  • Communicate effectively with parents in promoting parental involvement in their child's early learning experience.
  • Facilitate and assist children in developing positive relationships that support a caring community within the classroom.
 Job Requirements
  • Working knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and education.
  • Ability to learn and follow curriculum and teach said curriculum to infants and toddlers.
  • Ability to adopt varying teaching styles to ensure children are learning and retaining information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and including them in their child's learning process.
  • One-year teaching experience working with infants and toddlers.
  • Effectively use classroom management skills and techniques to keep infants and toddlers engaged.
  • Pass a criminal and child abuse and neglect background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to provide a recent physical & TB test.
Education Requirements
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certified or Degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field and minimum 3 years experience in teaching preschool curriculum.
